This is a list of dataset sources, e.g. for machine learning, statistic exercises, … This list focuses on Internet-related datasets. For more links, see the list of other dataset indexes on the bottom of this page.

Dataset sources

Geolocation

• Webnet77 provides a free IP2Country database.
• hostip.info is a community-based approach to create a geolocation database. Every user can provide information about his location, which will then be tied to his IP address.

URLs, Domains

• The Mozilla Foundation provides a list of known domain endings, e.g. .com, .co.uk, and pvt.k12.wy.us (yes, these all should be treated as top-level-domain when setting cookies).
• The Open Directory Project offers dumps of it's database, which can be used as starting point for web indexing/classification.
